BLOGS WE LIKE
Blogs aren't just online diaries. They are communities of people interacting.
Why should your law firm have a blog? Because blogs offer one of the best, simplest opportunities to keep clients involved. Here are some of our favorite blogs, both law and non-law related.
- Roger Ebert's Blog: After losing his ability to speak, Mr. Ebert, one of the world's greatest film critics, turned his blog into one of the most widely read, and passionately commented on websites around. An average post will garner 300 or more comments, while the largest will receive well over a thousand. And almost all of them are from avid, intelligent, dedicated readers who've made Mr. Ebert's blog part of their life. This is why we blog.
- Above the Law Blog: A legal blog with a wide appeal and a lot of readers, Above the Law is a legal tabloid of sorts. It covers topics of notoriety and current events, covering legal stories and issues that are in the public eye.
- IP Watchdog Blog: This blog has been around for ten years and is consistently rated highly by lawyers and readers. It's an excellent example of how to build a reputation in a specific field by blogging about what you know.
OUR BLOG
Yes, we have a blog. Hosted on WordPress, we blog about anything that strikes us as noteworthy or interesting.
Why did we choose WordPress to host our blog? First, because we like it. Second, because it's easy. And third, because it's so easy, and free, there's absolutely no reason why your website shouldn't have a blog.
Now, as far as writing that informative, high-quality content...
